Yalta Strengthens Its Position in the International Arena. Part 2

After visiting Cuba, the Crimean delegation attended Nicaragua. One of the goals was to sign a twinning agreement between the cities of Yalta (Russian Federation) and Granada (Nicaragua). It concerns many spheres, including the trade and economic, scientific and technical, cultural, social ones. The initiative of Yanina Pavlenko, Mayor of Yalta, to organize “Days of Nicaragua in Yalta” on the South Coast of Crimea this year was also approved.

 In addition, the delegation also met with Reyna Rueda, Mayor of Managua. The parties shared their experience and plans for the city management and improvement, as well as opportunities for cooperation.

A meeting with information agencies and mass media of Nicaragua took place as well. The meeting resulted in the outline of the directions of the joint work with the journalistic and youth community of Crimea and Nicaragua, including by establishing direct contacts between news agencies.

It should be noted that there was also a meeting of the working group on the implementation of the Agreement between the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Nicaragua on trade and economic cooperation, which resulted in signing a protocol on the implementation of the Agreement in 2024-2026.

The visit demonstrated the unbreakable friendship, solidarity and readiness for mutually beneficial cooperation between Nicaragua and the Republic of Crimea.
