Astrakhan Delegation Visited the Republic of Belarus

On 27-29 August, 2018, the Astrakhan delegation visited the city of Minsk, the Republic of Belarus. Two regions have been closely cooperating for many years despite of the fact that there is a long distance between the Astrakhan Region and the Republic of Belarus. The first agreement on cooperation was signed in 1999. Today many Astrakhan companies work on the Belarus goods such as shoes, furniture, linen, cosmetics, clothing and other products. In turn, Astrakhan enterprises successfully send products to the Belarus market, where Astrakhan fish, wool and sulfur are in demand.

The Astrakhan delegation visited the Embassy of the Russian Federation and the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus. Thanks to this, new contacts for the prospective cooperation were outlined.

However, one of the most important event was the meeting of the Working Group on Cooperation where the Program of Joint Actions of the Governments of the Republic of Belarus and the Astrakhan Region for 2019-2021 was signed.
