The Turkish Delegation Visited Almetyevsk

On August 8, the Turkish delegation of the employees from different professional fields had a one-day visit to the city of Almetyevsk. In September a high-ranking delegation of the Kocaeli Province will visit Almetyevsk at the invitation of Airat Khairullin, Head of the Almetyevsky municipal district. Due to that, the current visit is a preparation.

On April 26, 2018, Airat Khairullin and Ibrahim Karaosmanoglu, Mayor of Kocaeli Province, President of the Union of Turkish World Municipalities, signed an agreement on cooperation in the fields of economy, industry, social sphere and urban space development. Almetyevsk and Kocaeli became the twin-cities.

Kocaeli is one of the most economically developed Turkish regions. Oil, automobile, chemical, textile and paper industries are successfully developing there. A particular attention is paid to the development of public spaces.

As well as Almetyevsk, the administrative district center, which includes two urban and thirty-six rural settlements, Kocaeli is the administrative center of the province, which includes 12 districts.

An excursion was organized for the foreign guests. They visited the factory “Alnas”, the “Tatneft” Training Center and the children's techno park “Kvantorium”. All the guests enjoyed the trip and asked many questions about the city.
