These are buildings higher than 35 meters or having more than 12 floors. The highest building in Yekaterinburg is the 188-meter skyscraper “Vysotsky”. It has 54 floors and is the most northern skyscraper in the world.
Yekaterinburg left Moscow and St. Petersburg far behind in the ranking of the best cities for business according to Forbes magazine. The capital of the Ural was among the leaders in the list of cities “with the least administrative pressure, tolerant to business tax officials, affordable finance”.
Yekaterinburg has also won in the election of an alternative capital of Russia organized by “Russian Reporter” magazine. There was a total of 77 candidacies. Yekaterinburg was voted for by nearly a quarter of the electorate.
Yekaterinburg became one of five Russian cities to visit, according to the website tripadvisor.ru. According to feedback from travelers, Yekaterinburg is a city for intellectual tourists, with a lot of libraries, museums, and unusual monuments.
Yekaterinburg also became one of the three most dynamic cities of Russia according to “Kommersant. The secret of the company” magazine. Analysts noted improvement in city tax revenue, investment in fixed assets and income. According to experts, the authorities of Yekaterinburg have created a diversified economy and developed sphere of services, which recovered from the crisis faster than other industries.
Finally, Yekaterinburg took the lead in statistical ranking of the most promising cities of Russia according to “Russian Reporter” magazine. “The city is actively building skyscrapers, and we do not observe that often in other regional centers. They are not afraid to experiment, but there is a strategic development plan in Yekaterinburg, which they try to stick to,”- wrote experts of the magazine.
