From 12 to 13 September 2024, the city of Yaroslavl (Russia) will become a venue for The International Seminar of Eurasia Cities on the topic: "Historical and Cultural Heritage and Its Role in Urban Sustainable Development". The event will be organized by the Municipality of Yaroslavl and UCLG-Eurasia. The seminar will be held with the support of the Government of the Yaroslavl Region.

·         How to attract funding for the preservation of cultural heritage?

·         How to protect heritage sites from climate risks?

·         What global agendas local governments can be guided, to protect heritage?

·         What international projects, awards, and heritage exhibitions can cities participate in and increase their visibility?

·         How to efficiently implement heritage marketing?

These and other issues will be discussed at the upcoming seminar in Yaroslavl together with outstanding experts in the field of heritage preservation, local leaders, and representatives of international organizations.

This event will provide the participants with an opportunity not only to learn about successful practices of Eurasia cities in the field of heritage, but also to be aware of modern trends in the field of preservation and promotion of cultural heritage and to put the acquired knowledge into practice for the benefit of residents of their cities.

The format of the seminar includes interactive exercises, surveys, and discussions. Every participant will be able to gain useful information and share their opinions.

Representatives of local and regional governments of Eurasia will take part in the seminar: local leaders, heads and specialists of city administrations, representatives of inter-municipal cooperation organizations.
