UCLG-Eurasia continues to actively participate in the preparation of a voluntary national review of the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals. The report will be presented by Russia in 2020.
On May 28, 2019 Rasikh Sagitov, Secretary General UCLG-Eurasia took part in the meetings of the two thematic working groups to prepare reports on the SDG 11 “Sustainable Cities and Communities” and the SDG 9 “Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure”. The events took place in Moscow, at the Analytical Center for the Government of the Russian Federation and at the VEB Institute for Research and Expertise.
The central topic of the discussions was how to gather all the information from different sources. “The implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals is extremely important. Today there are many different studies on the progress in achieving the SDGs. Our task is precisely to collect all this information from unrelated sources together”, - Rasikh Sagitov noted.
