Mr. Rasikh Sagitov, Secretary General of UCLG-Eurasia, took part in the UCLG-ASPAC Executive Bureau meetings on the theme “Think Globally, Act Locally” held on April 10-12 in Islamabad (Pakistan). Participants discussed the challenges faced by local governments while implementing Sustainable development goals.
An important meeting of Secretaries-General of Eurasia, Asia-Pacific and Middle East sections Mr.Rasikh Sagitov, Mrs.Bernadia Irawati and Mr.Mehmet Duman was dedicated to the development of the Cities’ International Activity Research of the cities of Eurasia and the Pacific.
As a reminder, in 2014 Eurasian section launched the initiative on cities’ international activity research within which pilot researches were conducted in 2015 and 2017 on the territory of CIS countries. Next year it is planned to expand the geography of the research by including into it the cities of Middle East and the Pacific.
