With the organizational support of UCLG-Eurasia, a delegation from Ethiopia visited the city of Chistopol on February 9. The delegation consisted of mayors of cities and a senator of the Ethiopian Parliament. According to the program, the guests got acquainted with the activities of the leisure and development center “Kamaleya”, visited the Nur mosque, St. Nicholas Cathedral, and the Boris Pasternak Memorial Museum. The delegation was also told about the history of Chistopol in the Museum of the county town.
The delegates noted that they had gained important experience, including in the field of interfaith relations, new knowledge, and looked forward to deepening further cooperation in various formats, including establishing twinning relations with Russian cities.
The delegation was accompanied by Mikhail Ksenofontov, Deputy Head of Chistopol, and Pavel Pribyshenia, Projects and Programs Coordinator of UCLG-Eurasia.
